Cooking Instructions

What’s in your bag?

Gyoza - Best to pan fry and serve with sauce

Wontons - Best to boil and serve with broth or sauce

To Pan Fry

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. When the pan is hot, place the frozen dumplings in a single layer, flat side down in a circular shape (or place them in two columns). Cook until the bottom of the dumplings turn golden brown, about 3-5 minutes. Add ¼ cup of water to the pan. Immediately cover with a lid and steam dumplings for about 5-7 minutes or until most of the water evaporates. Remove the lid to evaporate any remaining water. Add 1 tsp sesame oil around the frying pan. Cook uncovered until the dumplings are nice and crisp on the bottom.

To Boil

Fill a medium saucepan half way and bring to a rolling boil in high heat. Add the frozen dumplings 10 at a time with a ½ cup of cold water. Stir gently with a spatula constantly to prevent them from sticking to the bottom. Bring to a rolling boil and add the ½ cup of cold water, then bring to boil again. Repeat the last step if necessary. Cook until the dumplings are floating on top. Transfer dumplings into a bowl and serve.

To Steam

Boil water in a steam cooker. Line the steamer with cabbage or lettuce leaves. Place the frozen dumplings in the steamer on top of the leaves. Cover the steamer and cook approximately 10 minutes until the dumplings are done.

To Deep Fry

Heat oil to 350°F. Place 10 frozen dumplings in the heated oil (be careful of the oil splatter). Cook for 4 - 5 minutes until the dumplings turn golden brown.
